Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is increasingly vital in the UAE due to evolving threats. The 2024 State of the UAE – Cybersecurity Report, from the UAE Cyber Security Council and CPX Holding, identifies over 155,000 vulnerable assets and a troubling trend of unresolved critical vulnerabilities lasting over five years. Ransomware attacks are the most common, particularly targeting government, energy, and IT sectors.
The UAE Cyber Security Council continues to support the Cyber Security sector at Intersec 2025. His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, stated: “We are pleased to support the Cyber Security sector again at Intersec’s 26th edition. By hosting the 4th annual Cyber Security Conference, we work closely with Intersec to provide innovative content, awareness sessions, and workshops, and support start-ups in the cyberspace. Our partnership with Messe Frankfurt Middle East and Intersec is crucial for promoting cyber awareness in the UAE and fostering global growth in security sectors.”
Cybersecurity will be a major topic at the 2025 Intersec Security Leaders’ Summit (ISLS), covering areas such as emerging hacker techniques, building cybersecurity resilience, and dealing with deepfakes, misinformation, and ransomware myths.
CISO Business Briefing
The conference will feature prominent experts including Fawaz AlSumaim from the Ministry of Interior Bahrain, Anoop Paudval from Gulf News, and Majid AlShowdari from Confidential Government.
Additionally, the new CISO Business Briefing will focus on trends, threats, and opportunities in information security, bringing together top Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) to discuss how to enhance organizational resilience against emerging threats.
Intersec 2025 is expected to have 30% more cybersecurity exhibitors than the 2024 event, with leading companies like Dell, Ingram Micro, Genetec, Axxon Soft, and others showcasing their solutions. A special Startup Zone will feature the latest cybersecurity innovations and foster connections among global experts and innovators.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the 26th edition of Intersec will cover five key areas: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Cyber Security, and Homeland Security & Policing. The exhibition will host 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries and expects more than 42,000 visitors.
