Dubai Humanitarian said it remains ready to expand its support for global relief efforts as crises and emergencies continue to develop worldwide.

The organisation said it is prepared to respond to requests from its member groups and partners, with backing from stakeholders across the United Arab Emirates. It reaffirmed its commitment to assisting vulnerable communities affected by disasters and emergencies around the world.

Aid coordination

Dubai Humanitarian operates as a logistics hub that supports the global humanitarian community by helping deliver lifesaving aid to areas affected by emergencies in the region and beyond.

The hub works with more than 80 nonprofit organisations, international humanitarian groups, United Nations agencies and commercial companies. It helps coordinate and mobilise relief shipments to ensure assistance reaches affected populations.

Its operations are supported by cooperation with government entities and strategic partners across Dubai and the wider UAE. These partnerships help facilitate logistics, coordination and regulatory processes so humanitarian shipments can move quickly and safely.

Global logistics hub

Over the past two decades, Dubai Humanitarian has developed into one of the largest humanitarian logistics hubs globally.

Data from its Humanitarian Logistics Databank shows the facility maintains significant stockpiles of relief supplies to respond to natural disasters, climate-related events, conflicts and other emergencies.

The hub’s warehouses currently store relief goods valued at about $200 million (around Dhs734 million). These supplies are pre-positioned by UN agencies, international humanitarian organisations and non-governmental organisations that provide assistance to more than 100 countries each year.

The stock includes medicines, medical supplies, shelter materials, water and sanitation equipment, emergency food, telecommunications tools, education and protection items, and other logistics assets used in humanitarian operations.
