As the global travel and tourism sector experiences remarkable growth, ATM 2025 will play a crucial role in shaping its direction. The event will bring together professionals and leaders from various travel sectors, including leisure, MICE, luxury, and corporate travel. It will serve as a platform for networking, sharing knowledge, and discovering new business opportunities while exploring the latest trends and innovations in the industry.

This international gathering will foster collaboration and innovation by bringing diverse perspectives together. Each year, ATM focuses on key themes that will influence the future of travel, and this year’s focus will be on how connectivity across borders, industries, and communities is defining the future of tourism.

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for Arabian Travel Market, remarked on the theme: “Connectivity extends beyond technology. It also involves creating communities that serve as important centres for trade and tourism. By working together and embracing innovation and better connectivity, ATM is paving the way for the future of travel. This ensures that tourism in the coming years is more sustainable, inclusive, and closely linked with global economic growth.”

Recent reports from the Dubai Media Office indicate that the city welcomed a record 9.31 million international overnight visitors in the first half of 2024, a 9% increase from the previous year. This growth is supported by key government strategies, including the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position Dubai as a leading global economy and a top destination for business and leisure.

The UAE is also a leader in smart city initiatives, leveraging technology to improve urban living while minimizing environmental impact. Dubai’s attractions, hospitality, and global partnerships continue to make it a sought-after destination, significantly contributing to the city’s economic development.

World Travel and Tourism Council

Globally, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) predicts a banner year for the travel industry, with an economic contribution of USD $11.1 trillion and supporting 348 million jobs. The sector is expected to employ 449 million people worldwide in the next decade.

Curtis added, “These figures underscore the increasing economic influence of travel and tourism and signify strong industry recovery and growth. In the coming years, connectivity, global collaboration, and sustainable travel practices will shape the industry’s trajectory, which will be key topics at ATM 2025.”

ATM 2024 attracted over 47,000 attendees from more than 161 countries, marking a 17.7% increase from the previous year. The upcoming event will feature a comprehensive conference program with insights from international and regional experts.

Strategic partners for ATM 2025 include Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates (Official Airline Partner), IHG Hotels & Resorts (Official Hotel Partner), and Al Rais Travel (Official DMC Partner).
