Drones, skydivers light up Global Village Season 30 launch

Global Village kicked off its 30th season with a night of dazzling entertainment, highlighted by an impressive drone light show and wing-suited skydivers, setting the tone for a milestone year at the multicultural destination.

The season’s opening featured 600 drones illuminating the night sky with pyrotechnics that formed the number ‘30’ and spelled out the message ‘A More Wonderful World.’ This visual display celebrated three decades of Global Village’s presence in the region.

The drone spectacle reached its peak when a group of wing-suited skydivers dove through the glowing formation, leaving trails of fire and light, creating a memorable moment for attendees.

Celebrations and entertainment

The launch event also included the Retumbar street drummers and representatives from all 30 pavilions in the Parade of the World, accompanied by confetti and streamers that filled the air.

Live performances took place across the venue, from the Main Stage to the Kids’ Theatre and various cultural shows. New features for this season include a laser show at Dragon Lake and a light show in front of the main stage.

Visitor experience

Global Village welcomes visitors daily from 4PM, offering 30 pavilions with more than 3,500 shopping outlets and over 250 dining options. The destination also features more than 200 rides, games, and attractions, along with 40,500 scheduled shows throughout the season.

The traditional fireworks display will take place every Friday and Saturday at 9PM, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

As one of the region’s leading family entertainment and cultural destinations, Global Village continues to attract millions of guests from across the world. The 30th season aims to deliver a unique experience reflecting its multicultural appeal and longstanding popularity.
