Titan Watches is expanding its UAE and regional presence, with plans to open 70 exclusive stores over the next five years as it showcases its mechanical watchmaking collections in Dubai.
The Tata Group-owned watch brand opened its first experiential space at Mall of the Emirates on October 30, giving visitors an opportunity to explore its collections and its newly introduced in-house mechanical movement, Vetra. The temporary space will remain open until November 2, 2026.
The expansion plans include 31 stores already operating in the UAE, as Titan looks to strengthen its position in the regional watch market.
Titan targets exclusive stores across the region
The company says it is the first watch brand to operate exclusive stores in all seven emirates.
The expansion reflects Titan’s ambition to move beyond its established reputation as a watch brand and build a stronger presence in the aspirational and premium segments of the market.
Dubai is playing a central role in this strategy, with the Mall of the Emirates experiential space giving shoppers a closer look at the brand’s collections and watchmaking capabilities.
Vetra takes centre stage at Dubai showcase
One of the main attractions at the Mall of the Emirates is Vetra, Titan’s in-house automatic mechanical movement, which marks a new stage in the company’s watchmaking development.
The Vetra 7A series uses a single mechanical architecture designed to support different complications, including a 72-hour power reserve, GMT functionality and a Big-Date display.
Each movement is hand-assembled and individually tested.
Vetra also powers Titan’s new Signature Automatics collection, which is being presented alongside the movement at the Dubai showcase.
The development is significant for Titan because it brings more of the watchmaking process in-house, extending the company’s design approach beyond the watch dial and into the mechanical movement.
Four collections offer different watchmaking styles
Alongside Vetra, the experiential space features several of Titan’s established collections.
These include:
Nebula: Titan’s high-end collection featuring watches made from solid 18-carat gold, incorporating traditional Indian art forms and specialist craftsmanship.
Raga: A women’s watch collection celebrating different aspects of women’s identities through its designs.
Edge: An ultra-slim watch range built around minimalist design, which has extended Titan’s slim-watch expertise into mechanical watchmaking.
Signature Automatics: A collection powered by the newly introduced Vetra movement.
The display also includes new additions to Titan’s automatic watch range, bringing together everyday designs and more elaborate mechanical timepieces.
The collections demonstrate the range of products the company wants to present to customers, from everyday watches to more exclusive pieces.
Why Titan chose Dubai for its first experiential space
Titan has chosen Dubai as the location for its first experiential showcase, using the emirate to introduce its latest watchmaking developments to Middle Eastern consumers.
Rahul Shukla, Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Titan Watches, said: “We have chosen Dubai, a global crossroads of cultures and a gateway to the Middle East, to bring its watchmaking story to the world stage for the first time. With this, we are keen to give customers the firsthand Titan experience, where the world of design and horology comes together at the brand’s experiential outpost at the Mall of the Emirates. We would like them to experience and appreciate how we bring together the art of storytelling and marry it beautifully with our engineering advances.”
He said the company’s longer-term ambition is to establish India as a recognised force in modern watchmaking.
“Our ambition is to make India a genuine force in modern horology, creating aspirational watches for every wrist, that win hearts and earn global recognition. For four decades, Titan has made watches that tell stories, drawing on Indian craft, design and material innovation to say something beyond telling the time. Titan has entered a new chapter with its in-house automatic movement called Vetra, in which art is no longer only on the dial but engineered into the movement,” he added.
Titan’s regional journey began in 1994
Titan entered the GCC market through Oman in 1994 and has since developed a retail network of 44 exclusive stores across the region.
The UAE has 31 of these outlets, making it a key market for the company’s regional expansion.
Shukla said the company’s combination of in-house watchmaking, design and value was central to its strategy.
“Our advantage is that we sit where few brands sit: genuine in-house watchmaking, deep design storytelling and unmatched value. Very few watchmakers in the world build their own mechanical movements,” said Shukla. “Every watch in this space, from the flying tourbillon to the slim & sophisticated Edge, carries the same conviction: that craft and engineering belong together. Whether someone is discovering Titan for the first time or has worn it for years, we want them to find a watch that speaks to them, and to leave knowing there is real substance behind it.”
The Mall of the Emirates experiential space will remain open until November 2, 2026, giving Dubai shoppers an opportunity to explore Titan’s collections and its latest developments in mechanical watchmaking.
