Union Coop is expanding its private-label range beyond 1,000 products, covering everyday groceries, household goods and fresh food for UAE shoppers.
More private-label products in UAE stores
Union Coop currently has more than 1,000 private-label products, with additional items under development across food and non-food categories.
The range includes everyday products such as poultry, fresh milk, flour and pasta, alongside cleaning products and disposable-use items.
The cooperative said the expansion is focused on offering shoppers more options at competitive prices while responding to changing customer preferences.
Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, said: “We continue to develop our private-label products in line with customer expectations, particularly as shoppers increasingly seek a combination of high quality and competitive pricing. Our focus is to ensure that these products deliver added value while offering a diverse range of options that meet customers’ everyday needs.”
Local produce remains part of supply
Union Coop is also increasing the presence of locally produced vegetables across its assortment.
The cooperative said locally produced vegetables form an important part of its daily supply and that supporting local products remains a priority.
It said it is working to give locally sourced products greater visibility and accessibility for customers.
Food imports come from more than 25 countries
Alongside local sourcing, Union Coop imports food products from more than 25 countries, including the US, UK, France, China, India, Poland and Türkiye.
For vegetables and fresh produce, the cooperative said direct imports are sourced primarily from Spain, Lebanon, Morocco and Thailand.
The company said its mix of local and international sourcing helps maintain the availability of fresh products while giving shoppers a wider choice.
