Travellers flying between Dubai and Bangkok will have more flight options this summer as flydubai introduces a second daily service to the Thai capital from July 18, following strong demand for the route.
The additional flight comes just over two weeks after the airline launched daily services to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) on July 1. With the new schedule, flydubai will operate up to 21 weekly flights to Thailand.
Flight details
The Bangkok flights operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Don Mueang International Airport under the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership. The arrangement allows passengers to travel on a single ticket, check baggage through to their final destination and connect to a combined network of more than 240 destinations.
Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Bangkok start from Dhs12,000, while Economy Class Lite fares start from Dhs2,600.
Thailand expansion
Alongside the second daily Bangkok service, flydubai has increased its Krabi route from four weekly flights to daily operations, expanding its network in Thailand during the peak summer travel season.
Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, said: “Just weeks after welcoming Bangkok as our latest destination, we are pleased to build on the strong demand for this route by introducing a second daily flight from Dubai. Don Mueang International Airport offers convenient access to central Bangkok, making it an attractive option for customers looking to make the most of their time in the city, especially during the busy summer travel period. The additional service provides greater flexibility and more travel options while reinforcing our commitment to enhancing connectivity and supporting Dubai’s position as a leading international aviation hub.”
New destinations
The airline has also expanded its international network with the recent launch of flights to Benghazi in Libya. Services to Aleppo in Syria are scheduled to begin on July 20, while flights to Pokhara in Nepal will start on September 23.
