Emirates will increase its services between Dubai and Accra with four additional weekly flights starting July 12, 2026, as demand for travel between Ghana and international destinations continues to grow.

The new flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, complementing the airline’s existing daily service and increasing its total operations to 11 weekly flights between Dubai and Accra.

New flight schedule

The additional service, operating as EK789, will depart Dubai at 3:30am and arrive in Accra at 7:40am. The return flight, EK790, will leave Accra at 10:25am and arrive in Dubai at 10:40pm.

The route will be served by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Global connections

The expanded schedule will offer travellers from Accra additional connections to destinations across Emirates’ network, including Beijing, Seoul, Sydney, Perth, Mumbai, Singapore, New York and Jeddah.

Passengers travelling to Ghana will also benefit from improved connections through Dubai from cities such as Delhi, Boston, Los Angeles, as well as destinations across Germany and the UK.

Salem Almana, Emirates’ Country Manager, Ghana, said: “For more than two decades, Emirates has proudly connected Ghana to the world. The introduction of this additional service demonstrates our continued confidence in the Ghanaian market and our commitment to supporting the country’s growing travel needs. Beyond providing greater convenience for our customers, this expansion will strengthen business, tourism and trade links between Ghana and key markets across our global network, while contributing to the continued growth of Ghana’s aviation sector.

“Through Dubai, travellers will enjoy seamless access to close to 140 destinations worldwide, while visitors from around the world will have even greater opportunities to experience Ghana.”

With the additional flights, Emirates will continue operating its Boeing 777-300ER on the route, offering First Class, Business Class and Economy Class cabins.

Cargo support

The new flights will also provide additional cargo capacity through Emirates SkyCargo.

The airline currently transports goods from Ghana, including fresh fruit, electronics, textiles and pharmaceuticals, to markets in Europe and other destinations through Dubai. Emirates said the added capacity is expected to support trade and improve access to international markets for Ghanaian businesses.
