Danube Properties has commenced construction of the Rizwan Askerali Sajan Masjid in Dubai Silicon Oasis, marking the latest milestone in its commitment to community development across the UAE.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new mosque took place recently, with company leadership and local dignitaries in attendance.
Rizwan Askerali Sajan Masjid
The Rizwan Askerali Sajan Masjid is designed to accommodate 1,000 worshippers, including 800 men and 200 women, and will occupy a 121,000-square-foot plot. The mosque’s built-up area will span 19,000 square feet, with ample parking facilities to ensure easy access for visitors and worshippers. The project is scheduled for completion later this year.
Danube Group’s new mosque is the fifth in a series of religious facilities being built as part of the company’s Dhs 50 million initiative to support the UAE’s spiritual infrastructure. The initiative, launched with the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, aims to enhance community well-being through the construction of Masjids across the country.
Commitment to community
The groundbreaking event was attended by key figures, including Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman of Danube Group, and Badr Buhannad, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis, along with other dignitaries. The project’s goal is to provide a modern space for faith, unity, and community connection in one of Dubai’s fastest-growing districts.
Badr Buhannad spoke on the occasion, highlighting the project’s significance to the region’s development: “It is an honour to witness the groundbreaking ceremony of this beautiful Masjid developed by Rizwan Sajan. Developments such as this reflect a strong commitment towards community well-being and sustainable urban growth.”
Rizwan Sajan also shared his thoughts, stating, “This Masjid represents our gratitude to the UAE and our commitment to creating spaces that inspire faith, harmony, and togetherness. He extended his thanks to Dubai Silicon Oasis for supporting the project and providing the land for the mosque.”
The Rizwan Askerali Sajan Masjid will be the fifth mosque built by Danube Properties as part of its ongoing efforts to support the UAE’s social and spiritual development. To date, the company has completed four mosques, all serving as important community hubs.
Upon its completion, the new mosque is expected to become a central place of worship in the area, further strengthening the community values of unity, generosity, and faith that are integral to the UAE.
