Abu Dhabi Airports has added new direct flights connecting the Emirate with Pakistan, reinforcing its role as a major global aviation hub.

AirSial now operates three weekly flights to Lahore and four weekly flights to Islamabad from Zayed International Airport (AUH).

Expanded connectivity

The new routes are designed to provide more travel options for the Pakistani community in the UAE while boosting trade and tourism links between the two countries. The inaugural flight arrived at AUH, marking the first direct service by AirSial to the Emirate.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “We are delighted to welcome AirSial to Zayed International Airport. This new route aligns with our strategic vision to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s travel and trade connections, as well as expand access, deepen global connectivity and support the travel needs of diverse communities, including the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE and beyond.”

Fazal Jilani, Chairman of AirSial, added: “The launch of our direct flights to Abu Dhabi marks a significant milestone in our mission to enhance regional connectivity. This new route provides a vital and convenient bridge for the Pakistani community and businesses, strengthening the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and the UAE.”

Modern airport experience

AUH, recognized as the World’s Most Beautiful Airport by UNESCO in 2024 and World’s Best Airport for Retail at the 2025 Frontier Awards, offers modern terminals, streamlined processes, and more than 160 retail and dining outlets. Passengers benefit from a smooth gate-to-curb journey of approximately 12 minutes.

With AirSial joining its network, Abu Dhabi Airports continues to expand its global connectivity, supporting economic growth, tourism, and enhanced travel experiences in the UAE.
