Kerzner International and Assets Group have signed an agreement to develop Atlantis The Royal in the Maldives. Located on Vaaredhdhoo Faru island in South Male Atoll, the resort is scheduled to open in 2029.
Dual-island concept
The resort will feature two islands – Family Island and Luxury Island – offering a total of 493 accommodations, including 270 hotel rooms and 223 villas and mansions. Guests will have access to 20 dining venues, two beach clubs, and a 70,000-square-metre Aquaventure waterpark with up to 15 rides, anchored by the Neptune and Poseidon Towers.
Entertainment and wellness
Atlantis The Royal, Maldives will include sports academies, entertainment zones, and wellness facilities. The wellness sanctuary will feature a world-class spa, an overwater yoga platform, fitness centre, and beauty and recovery studios. The resort will also house luxury retail outlets and event spaces for a range of gatherings.
Sustainability focus
Sustainability is central to the project, with initiatives covering energy efficiency, water conservation, and coral and seaweed regeneration. The resort will also host sustainably sourced native marine life through the Atlantis Atlas Project, integrating conservation with visitor experiences.

Location and accessibility
The resort covers roughly 1.37 million square metres with over 5.8 kilometres of beachfront. It will be reachable via a 10-minute seaplane ride or a 25-minute speedboat journey from Velana International Airport in Malé.
