11th Dubai Pre-Owned Boat and Yacht Show to kick off under the theme ‘A Boat for Everyone’

The 11th edition of the Pre-Owned Boat Show is set to take place at Dubai Creek Marina from October 31 to November 2, bringing together over 50 yachts and boats with a combined value of more than Dhs 200 million.

The event, held under the theme “A Boat for Everyone”, will showcase a wide selection of vessels ranging from 20 to over 100 feet, representing more than 50 local, regional, and international marine brands.

Focus on marine accessibility

Organised by Viya Marine, the show has been held annually since 2011. It aims to make boat ownership more accessible by offering pre-owned vessels at competitive prices, while also supporting the broader growth of the regional maritime sector.

Abdulla Ali Al Noon, Director of Special Projects at Dubai Golf and responsible for Viya Marine, said the event reinforces Dubai’s position in the global yachting sector.

“This year’s theme, ‘A Boat for Everyone’, embodies the organizers and participants’ commitment to offering accessible and affordable boat ownership options, while highlighting sustainability and the circular economy as core principles driving growth in this expanding sector,” Al Noon said.

Growing marine sector

The show is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors, including sea enthusiasts, investors, and tourism stakeholders. It comes amid strong growth in the UAE’s maritime industry, which accounts for roughly 50% of the yacht and marina market in the Arabian Gulf and the wider Middle East.

Dubai’s maritime infrastructure includes more than 22 marinas with capacity for over 4,190 yachts and boats. The emirate’s facilities for maintenance, storage, and equipment have further strengthened its status as a global hub for boating and marine tourism.

Support for first-time buyers

The event will also feature a range of services aimed at first-time boat buyers, including finance, insurance, and maintenance support. Industry experts will be available to assist with registration and ownership procedures.

In addition to the boat displays, a retail village will showcase the latest marine equipment and innovations, including electric and hybrid propulsion systems and sustainable boating products.

The Pre-Owned Boat Show is positioned as a platform for investment and business development in line with the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030. Organisers say it plays a role in promoting the circular economy by encouraging reuse and reducing the demand for new vessel production.

“The exhibition will provide a dynamic platform connecting international companies, investors, and enthusiasts,” Al Noon said.

Industry outlook

The Middle East’s recreational boating market is forecast to reach USD 2.95 billion by 2027, growing at a rate of 4.9% annually. This growth is driven by expanding infrastructure, rising interest in marine tourism, and the influence of regional events such as the Pre-Owned Boat Show.

The 2025 edition is sponsored by DexNet, a provider of private online infrastructure. Show timings are from 4:00pm to 9:00pm on October 31 and from 3:00pm to 9:00pm on November 1 and 2.
