Dubai Airshow 2025

The upcoming Dubai Airshow, scheduled from November 17 to 21 at Dubai World Central, is set to become a major platform for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), drawing industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss and display the future of urban air travel.

Largest AAM showcase yet

This year’s event will feature over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 200 aircraft, with AAM playing a key role in the programme. The exhibition will highlight emerging electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, drones, and the supporting infrastructure and regulations necessary to bring new modes of air transport to cities.

The UAE aims to introduce electric flying taxi services by 2026, positioning Dubai as a global hub for AAM development. The airshow’s AAM Pavilion will serve as a central space for showcasing full-scale eVTOL models and related innovations, supported by leading industry names including Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation.

Industry leaders reveal plans

Joby Aviation’s General Manager for the UAE, Anthony Khoury, said: “The Dubai Airshow’s focus on Advanced Air Mobility is a testament to the UAE’s leadership in a new era of flight. The energy and ambition here perfectly align with the global movement to bring quiet, clean, and fast air travel to communities worldwide.”

K2’s Director of Corporate Communications, Waleed Alblooshi, said: “At Dubai Airshow, we are proud to showcase our eVTOL innovation through Autocraft, a UAE subsidiary brand based in Abu Dhabi. Beyond unveiling our eVTOL model, we are creating a unique Advanced Air Mobility experience at our booth — where visitors can step into a first-class lounge–style vertiport and experience the future of travel.”

He further noted the company’s plans for local mass production of eVTOLs in Abu Dhabi to support sustainability goals and create new industries in the UAE.

New players and government support

The 2025 airshow will also introduce first-time AAM exhibitors such as Sarla Aviation from India and TransFuture Aviation from China, reflecting rapid global growth in the sector.

Saif Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority, will open the programme with a presentation on the country’s roadmap for a connected and sustainable airspace.

Key speakers include Adam Goldstein, CEO of Archer Aviation; JoeBen Bevirt, CEO of Joby Aviation; and Omran Malek from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, who will share insights on industry progress and AAM integration.

Infrastructure focus with Skyports

Skyports, a leader in vertiport infrastructure development, will also be present at the AAM Pavilion. Damian Kysely, Head of EMEA at Skyports Infrastructure, highlighted the importance of infrastructure in supporting AAM growth.

He said: “The UAE has taken a leading stance on AAM, and as the world’s leading vertiport infrastructure developer, Skyports sees strong value in exhibiting at Dubai Airshow.”

Kysely pointed to ongoing projects, including the first commercial vertiport near Dubai International Airport and plans for additional sites across the emirate, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a pioneer in advanced air mobility.

The Dubai Airshow 2025 is expected to be a defining event for the future of urban flight, bringing together technologies, policies, and partnerships that could transform how cities connect and move people in the coming years.
