One of The Dubai Mall’s most recognisable sculptures has taken on a heroic new look as part of a regional celebration of the new Superman film.
A diver from the mall’s iconic Waterfall Fountain has been temporarily transformed into Superman, complete with cape and emblem, to mark the release of the latest DC Studios film, distributed in the region by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Premiere and special display
The display comes ahead of the film’s local premiere at Reel Cinemas, where media and invited guests attended an exclusive screening on July 8.
As part of the event, the Burj Khalifa was also set to light up with a themed Superman display around 8pm on Tuesday, offering visitors another visual highlight in the heart of Downtown Dubai.
The Superman-themed Diver will remain on display until July 31. The film is scheduled for general release across regional cinemas on July 10, including in Dolby and HDR by Barco formats.
