Al Futtaim launches BYD SEAL 7 DM-i hybrid sedan in UAE

Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company (AFEM) has introduced the BYD SEAL 7 DM-i Plug-in Hybrid Sedan to the UAE market, expanding its range of electrified vehicles.

The model aims to meet growing demand for flexible electric transport solutions.

Vehicle features and technology

The SEAL 7 DM-i is the largest plug-in hybrid sedan in its class, measuring 4,980 mm in length with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. It runs on BYD’s fourth-generation DM-i (Dual Mode – Intelligent) platform, combining a 17.6 kWh Blade Battery with hybrid power management.

The sedan offers a pure electric range of up to 100 km and a total driving range exceeding 800 km (WLTP), with low fuel consumption.

The car features smooth electric starts, regenerative braking, and BYD’s D-Pilot driver assistance system for enhanced safety. Its design includes a coupe fastback profile, panoramic sunroof, and dot-array taillights. Inside, it offers ventilated leather seating, a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment screen, 13 airbags, and spacious interiors.

Expansion and support network

AFEM continues to grow its BYD showroom network across the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain. The company also provides aftersales support, mobile services, financing options, and a nationwide EV charging infrastructure through its CHARGE2MOVE platform.

The launch of the SEAL 7 DM-i reflects Al-Futtaim’s ongoing commitment to supporting sustainable transport solutions adapted to the needs of UAE drivers.
