Dubai-based entrepreneur and Indian actress Parul Gulati made her debut appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival this month, attending the world premiere of Eddington, directed by Ari Aster and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, and Pedro Pascal.

Tribute through fashion

Gulati wore a custom-designed ensemble inspired by her business journey with Nish Hair, a hair extensions brand that recently launched its first international store in Dubai’s Al Seef district.

The outfit was conceptualized by Gulati and created by designers Mohit Rai and Riddhi Bansal. According to the team, the look took more than a month to complete and involved 12 artisans.

Global platform for Dubai brand

Speaking about the moment, Gulati said: “Walking the red carpet at Cannes has been a dream I’ve nurtured for years—not just as an actor, but as someone deeply in love with cinema and storytelling. Experiencing the premiere of Eddington, alongside some of the greatest talents of our time, was surreal.

“I wanted my red carpet look to be more than just fashion—it had to represent my personal and professional journey. This ensemble stands for the courage to embrace who you are, to celebrate where you come from, and to boldly own your story. Representing both India and my entrepreneurial home, Dubai, on a global stage is a moment I’ll cherish forever.”

Entrepreneurial spotlight

Gulati’s presence at Cannes highlighted Dubai’s growing appeal as a hub for international entrepreneurs and creatives. Her brand, Nish Hair, has gained recognition for promoting self-expression and confidence, particularly among women. The Dubai expansion marks a significant step in the company’s global growth.
