Union Coop has launched a new loyalty initiative that will see 30 customers become millionaires in Tamayaz Points over the next six months, as part of a weekly reward campaign running through 2026.
Weekly millionaire draw
The retailer said the campaign, named the Tamayaz Millionaire Campaign, will run under the theme “30 Mondays, 30 Millionaires”, with one winner selected every Monday starting May 11, 2026.
Union Coop said each winner will receive 1 million Tamayaz Points, which can be redeemed across thousands of products in its stores. The value of the points is equivalent to up to Dhs 16,700, and can be used over a six-month period, extending into 2027.
Loyalty programme
Union Coop said the initiative reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen its loyalty programme and enhance customer benefits.
The company said the campaign is part of its Tamayaz programme, which focuses on providing savings and rewards to shoppers. It added that the new initiative aims to give customers additional value alongside regular in-store and online benefits.
Spending-based entries
The campaign is structured around a tiered entry system linked to customer spending. Union Coop said customers spending at least Dhs 200 in a single transaction will receive one entry into the weekly draw.
It added that higher spending levels will increase the number of entries, with larger baskets eligible for up to ten entries per transaction. The retailer said this structure is designed to give regular shoppers better chances of winning each week.
Participation process
For in-store purchases, Union Coop said customers must scan their digital Tamayaz barcode through the Union Coop app at checkout to qualify. It noted that transactions linked only to phone numbers or physical cards will not be eligible.
The company said online purchases will be automatically included in the draw if they meet the qualifying criteria.
The campaign officially begins on May 4, 2026, with weekly draws continuing throughout the promotion period.
