The American University of Sharjah (AUS) kicked off its Career Fair 2025, hosted by Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, AUS President. The event welcomed 79 top employers from various sectors, offering over 914 internship and job opportunities to more than 1,500 students and alumni.
Leading up to the fair, AUS’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs (OAAA) organized Career Prep Week, which provided workshops on CV writing, interview techniques, and personal branding to help students prepare for employer interactions.
Dr. Tod Laursen, Chancellor of AUS, emphasized the fair’s importance, stating it helps students build valuable industry connections and gain insights into the evolving job market. The QS World University Rankings 2025 recently recognized AUS alumni as some of the most job-ready graduates in the UAE.
The fair also introduced a new Career Assessment Booth in collaboration with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation. The booth provided students and alumni with personalized skills guidance, helping them better understand their strengths before meeting employers.
For the first time, the AUS Career Forum will take place on February 24–25, offering additional career insights through keynote speeches and panel discussions on technology, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.
The event was supported by 20 sponsors, including Platinum Sponsors Emirates NBD and Samsung, Gold Sponsor HSBC, and Silver Sponsors Arada, Dubai Airports, and Procter & Gamble, among others.
Joao Carlos Ferreira of Samsung Gulf Electronics and May AlMansoori of Emirates NBD praised the fair for connecting emerging talent with career opportunities and investing in future leaders.
