Tanishq brings 800 high jewellery pieces to Dubai for exclusive exhibition

Dubai is hosting an exclusive exhibition of more than 800 high jewellery pieces by Tanishq, with the event also marking the UAE debut of its collaboration with Indian fashion designer Rahul Mishra.

Tanishq Privé opens in Dubai

The invitation-only exhibition, Tanishq Privé, runs from October 23 to 25 at JW Marriott Marquis in Business Bay. It brings together jewellery created by the brand’s in-house craftspeople, showcasing intricate designs, gemstone settings and traditional Indian craftsmanship.

The collection includes pieces developed over several years, with an emphasis on detailed stone setting, sculptural goldwork and complex designs that require specialised skills.

Rahul Mishra collaboration makes regional debut

A key feature of the Dubai exhibition is the regional debut of the Rahul Mishra x Tanishq collaboration.

The collection combines Mishra’s hand-embroidered designs with Tanishq’s high jewellery craftsmanship, bringing together two Indian creative traditions centred on detailed handwork.

Niraj Bhakare, AVP and chief sales and marketing officer for international business at Titan Company Limited, said: “The pieces in Tanishq Privé were not made for a season or a brief. They were made because our craftspeople had the vision and the skill to make them,”

He added: “This exhibition shows a small and discerning audience what Indian high jewellery looks like when it is given no constraint of cost or time. We have never presented anything like it publicly, and we are proud to bring it to the UAE.”

Traditional Indian designs and intricate craftsmanship

The exhibition draws on four recurring themes in Indian jewellery: gardens, peacocks, the traditional Navratna arrangement of nine gems, and the architectural forms of Indian royal courts.

Some pieces feature hinged joints and suspended elements designed to move with the wearer. Others include detachable medallions, interchangeable centre stones and components that can be converted into different forms of jewellery, including necklaces, pendants and maang tikkas.

The collection also includes detailed figurative designs, such as peacocks with engraved feathers and sculpted religious figures.

One of the recurring design features is the embrace setting, in which sculpted points of gold rise around individual stones, making the metal an integral part of the design.

Live diamond testing at the exhibition

Visitors will also have access to Tanishq’s Diamond Expertise Centre experience, which includes live diamond testing at the venue. The demonstration allows guests to observe the diamond verification process.

Tanishq, the fine jewellery brand of Tata Group company Titan, said the pieces on display were created by its in-house master craftspeople, whose expertise includes goldsmithing, stone setting and figurative work.

Tanishq Privé runs until October 25, 2026, at JW Marriott Marquis, Business Bay, Dubai. Entry is by invitation and prior arrangement only.
