UAE resale fashion platforms Taggy and Reloved are merging under the Taggy brand, combining their technology, customer communities and local market experience.

The deal brings Reloved founder Annie Stacey into Taggy’s leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. The two businesses began merger discussions in June, with the process starting in July.

Existing Reloved customers will be able to transition to Taggy, bringing their accounts and listed products onto the platform. The move gives Reloved users access to Taggy’s existing technology and infrastructure while retaining a focus on the community built by Reloved.

Reloved, founded by Stacey in 2024, has built a community of around 3,000 customers and sellers in the UAE.

Taggy currently has more than 8,100 registered users and has recorded more than 9,000 items listed on its platform.

Both businesses have focused on making fashion resale more accessible in the UAE, but the merger brings their respective strengths together.

Taggy brings its technology and platform capabilities, while Reloved contributes its understanding of UAE resale customers and an established community.

Stacey said: “From the beginning, I have always believed that the UAE needed a better platform for circular fashion. This merger feels like an evolution of what we started with Reloved rather than an ending. The values remain the same, the community remains incredibly important, and now we have the tools to take that vision much further.”

The combined Taggy business plans to focus on making it easier for people to sell unwanted fashion and giving shoppers a more engaging way to discover pre-owned items.

The company said its next phase will focus on technology, customer experience and services tailored to the UAE market.
