OMODA & JAECOO has highlighted the capabilities of its Super Hybrid System (SHS) for UAE drivers as summer temperatures increase, with the company focusing on fuel efficiency, long driving range and performance in hot weather.
Hybrid performance
The company’s SHS technology powers the JAECOO J7 SHS, which combines a fifth-generation hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of 44.5%, intelligent thermal management and a dedicated hybrid transmission with up to 98.5% transmission efficiency.
The system automatically switches between electric and petrol power to reduce fuel consumption, particularly in city traffic where air conditioning is used continuously during summer.
Long driving range
According to OMODA & JAECOO, the JAECOO J7 SHS has an official combined fuel consumption of 6L/100km and offers a driving range of up to 1,200km on a full fuel tank and fully charged battery. The hybrid electric vehicle does not require external charging, allowing drivers to use the system without relying on charging infrastructure.
The vehicle produces a combined output of 328hp and 515Nm of torque, supporting highway driving and overtaking.
Future technology
The company is also expanding its technology portfolio with the AiMOGA humanoid robotics programme, which explores the use of artificial intelligence and robotics for customer interaction and mobility applications across retail, hospitality and automotive sectors.
OMODA & JAECOO said its Valet Parking Driving (VPD), also known as Super Intelligent Parking (SIVP), is expected to launch in the UAE soon. The Level 2 driver assistance feature is designed to help identify parking spaces and assist with parking manoeuvres, reducing the time drivers spend searching for parking during the summer months.
Community events
The company recently held its “One Community. One Passion. One Drive.” event at Yas Marina Circuit, bringing together more than 350 participants, including over 150 OMODA & JAECOO owners, for a community drive and football watch party.
OMODA & JAECOO said it will continue to introduce technologies and mobility solutions designed to meet local driving conditions as it expands its presence in the UAE.
