New BYD Ti 7 arrives in UAE with 870km driving range

Al-Futtaim BYD UAE has introduced the new BYD Ti 7 plug-in hybrid SUV in the UAE, expanding its range of electrified vehicles as demand for hybrid and electric mobility continues to grow.

The new model combines electric and petrol power, offering a total driving range of up to 870km and targeting drivers looking for both daily usability and off-road capability.

Hybrid performance

The BYD Ti 7 is built on the company’s DM-p dual-motor all-wheel-drive platform, which combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors.

The SUV produces 480 horsepower and 630Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in around 5.3 seconds. It also offers a pure electric driving range of up to 80km under WLTC testing standards.

Off-road features

The vehicle comes with multiple terrain modes, including Mud, Sand, Snow and Mountain settings. It also features Tank Turn, Track and Crawl modes designed to improve performance on challenging terrain.

A DiSus-C Intelligent Damping System, double wishbone front suspension and five-link rear suspension are included to support both on-road comfort and off-road driving.

Interior technology

Inside, the Ti 7 features a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 26-inch head-up display on higher trims.

Other features include a 14-speaker audio system, ventilated front and rear seats, massage functions on selected variants, a built-in refrigerator and a PM2.5 air purification system.

Safety systems

The SUV is designed to achieve dual five-star safety ratings and comes equipped with nine airbags, including a far-front airbag.

Driver assistance technologies include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping control and tyre deflation stability control, supported by the DiPilot 5 advanced driver assistance system and a 360-degree panoramic camera.
