BI Group plans three Dubai residential projects as UAE expansion begins

International developer and construction company BI Group has established a permanent Dubai operation as it begins expanding its residential development business in the UAE.

The company’s initial Dubai portfolio includes three residential developments, with additional residential and mixed-use opportunities under evaluation.

BI Group said its next planned launch will be Meydan Horizon, although the release does not provide a launch date, prices or details of the homes.

Three Dubai projects planned

The initial projects are intended to establish BI Group’s presence in Dubai before the company moves towards larger, master-planned developments.

The company said it plans to draw on its experience creating integrated residential districts, combining homes with public spaces, landscaping, education, retail, services and community infrastructure.

These developments’s development activities, are known as BigVilles in BI Group’s established markets.

Aidyn Rakhimbayev, chief executive officer of BI Group Holding, said: “Dubai is one of the world’s most sophisticated and competitive real estate markets,” said Aidyn Rakhimbayev, Chief Executive Officer of BI Group Holding.

“We enter it with respect for what has already been achieved here and with a clear understanding that trust must be earned through delivery. Our ambition is to build a long-term business in the UAE, supported by strong leadership, international expertise and an uncompromising focus on the quality of the places we create.”

Dubai-based team to oversee projects

The new UAE operation will manage BI Group’s development activities, partnerships and project delivery in the country.

Ruslan Yembergenov, CEO of BI GROUP UAE, said the company has formed a Dubai-based team and is working with UAE partners on design, development and delivery.

“We are not new to development, we are new to Dubai – and we recognise that credibility here must be built locally,” said Ruslan Yembergenov, CEO of BI GROUP UAE.

“We have assembled a Dubai-based team with deep knowledge of the local market and are working with experienced UAE partners across design, development and delivery. Our priority is to create projects that residential communities as well as commercial and mixed-use developments, hotels, educational facilities, transport infrastructure, sports venues and renewable-energy projects respond to the expectations of Dubai’s international residents and contribute positively to the city over the long term.”

Company brings international delivery experience

BI Group was founded in Kazakhstan in 1995 and says it has delivered more than 150 million square feet of real estate across more than 250 projects.

The group employs more than 8,000 people and operates across areas including construction, development, engineering, master planning and asset management.

The company said its international portfolio includes residential communities as well as commercial and mixed-use developments, hotels, educational facilities, transport infrastructure, sports venues and renewable-energy projects.

BI Group said its Dubai expansion will initially focus on residential projects, while it evaluates further opportunities in the emirate.
