Dubai malls roll out summer deals, family events and big prizes

Dubai’s shopping malls are hosting a wide range of fitness activities, entertainment, retail promotions and prize campaigns as part of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2026, with events running until September.

Residents and visitors can take part in free indoor fitness sessions, family activities, shopping offers and raffle draws across malls in the city during the annual summer festival.

Fitness events

Several malls are focusing on indoor fitness to help residents stay active during the summer.

Ibn Battuta Mall is hosting its “12,000 Steps Challenge” until August 1, encouraging visitors to complete walking milestones to receive rewards. The mall will also hold community walks and runs on August 2, followed by the Indoor Run Series with race categories of 1km, 2.5km, 5km and 10km.

Dubai Hills Mall will host the New Balance x Common Grounds Summer Series on July 24 and August 7 and 28, combining indoor running sessions with post-run recovery activities.

Dubai Outlet Mall will organise its Indoor Run Series on August 8, while Dubai Mallathon will continue until September 15, turning participating malls into indoor walking and running tracks every morning from 7am to 10am.

Dubai Festival City Mall is also running the BLUE Challenge, allowing Mallathon participants to track their steps for weekly rewards.

Shopping offers

Retail promotions continue across Dubai under the Great Dubai Summer Sale until August 2, with participating retailers offering discounts of up to 90 per cent.

A Home & Furnishing Flash Sale runs from July 24 to 26 across selected malls, while DSS Daily Surprises features one-day offers from participating brands.

Luxury shoppers can also visit the DSS Luxe Edition, running until August 30 at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Jumeirah Beach Road, with exclusive collections, pop-up experiences and premium shopping services.

Dubai Festival Plaza is offering discounts of up to 25 per cent for new homeowners until August 31, while Dubai Festival City Mall’s Modesh Summer Passport gives families access to discounts across entertainment attractions.

Family entertainment

Family entertainment continues throughout the festival with several free events across Dubai malls.

Dubai Festival Plaza is hosting Bluey meet-and-greet sessions until July 26.

The DSS Performing Arts Fest will take place over three weekends at Dubai Festival City Mall, Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Deira between July 24 and August 16, featuring stage shows, dance performances, acrobatics and parades.

A Dance Battle event is scheduled for August 1 at Dubai Festival Plaza, while Palm Jumeirah Mall will host live entertainment, including a grand piano performance, on August 28.

Prize campaigns

Several malls have launched shopping campaigns that give customers the chance to win cash prizes, vehicles, apartments and hotel stays.

City Centre Deira is running its “Summer Route: Unlock the Surprise” campaign until July 26 for shoppers spending Dhs200 or more.

Community malls across Dubai are offering shoppers who spend at least Dhs200 the chance to win one of 10 EXEED LX SUVs until August 29.

City Walk’s anniversary campaign gives customers spending Dhs100 or more the opportunity to enter draws for a total cash prize pool of Dhs1 million.

Other campaigns include chances to win an MHero vehicle at Dubai Festival City Mall, a Jetour vehicle at City Centre Deira and City Centre Me’aisem, residential units through the “Win Your Home in Dubai” campaign, luxury hotel staycations, and SHARE rewards worth Dhs100,000 for selected winners.

Dubai Summer Surprises 2026 runs across the city with participating malls, retailers and entertainment venues offering activities, promotions and rewards throughout the summer season until September 15.
