Parkin Company PJSC has partnered with master developer Arada to introduce a smart paid parking system at Aljada in Sharjah, with the new service live on July 15.
The move marks Parkin’s first smart paid parking project at Aljada and expands its parking operations into another large residential and mixed-use community in the UAE.
Parking rollout
The system will use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, allowing motorists to enter and exit parking areas without tickets.
The rollout covers selected on-street, off-street and retail parking locations across Aljada. Residents will continue to use the parking spaces allocated under their Sale and Purchase Agreements or Title Deeds, while additional parking will be managed through the new paid parking system.
Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, said: “Our partnership with Arada is another important step in extending Parkin’s smart parking solutions to one of the UAE’s fastest-growing communities. By combining advanced technology with efficient parking management, we will enable a more seamless experience for residents and visitors while ensuring parking resources are used more effectively as Aljada continues to grow.”
Parking charges
On-street parking along Aljada’s East Boulevard will cost Dhs6.30 per hour, including VAT, and will operate 24 hours a day.
Off-street parking areas and designated parking lots will be charged at Dhs4.20 per hour, including VAT, from 8am to midnight.
Visitors using retail parking at The Boulevard, Tiraz and Misk will receive the first two hours free. After that, parking will cost Dhs10 per hour.
Residents can manage parking subscriptions through Parkin’s digital platform, while visitors can pay using the company’s existing digital payment channels.
Arada partnership
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “The launch of Parkin’s smart parking system at Aljada reflects our commitment to bringing best-in-class services to our communities and enhancing the everyday experience of our residents and visitors. Aljada has grown into one of the most dynamic urban destinations in the UAE — a place where tens of thousands of people live, work, study and spend their leisure time every day. A community operating at that scale deserves infrastructure of the same standard, and this partnership with Parkin delivers exactly that.”
