As the current global conflict continues to affect economic conditions, Dubai-based Danube Group has announced it will retain its entire workforce, highlighting a focus on stability during uncertain times.

Workforce commitment

Founder and Chairman Rizwan Sajan said the company will not implement layoffs despite ongoing challenges. In a statement shared on Instagram, he said: “I’ve faced many challenging situations in the past – from the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait to the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these, we have always bounced back stronger, and I’m confident we will do so again. During the pandemic, I had committed to not letting go of any employees, and I stood by that promise. Similarly, there will be no layoffs at Danube Group this time as well.”

He further added, “Our 6000+ employees are not just our workforce – they are our family. They helped build Danube Group into what it is today. In times like these, we stand by them with the same commitment. All salaries will be paid on time, and we remain dedicated to serving our clients and customers.”

Danube Group operates across building materials, real estate, and home solutions, a diversified structure that has supported its response to changing market conditions over time.

The company’s real estate arm recently launched a large-scale integrated community, Greenz by Danube, offering townhouses and villas starting from Dhs 3.5 million. The development includes a 1% monthly payment plan and has attracted interest from investors and buyers.

The group said it remains focused on project delivery and meeting commitments as it navigates the current situation, maintaining operations while adapting to evolving economic conditions.
