Cities across the UAE are preparing for Eid Al Fitr with a wide range of events, shopping promotions and family activities as residents get ready for the holiday period.
Public spaces, malls and tourist destinations are being decorated with festive lights, while retailers report increased footfall ahead of Eid. Shoppers are buying clothing, sweets and gifts, supported by seasonal discounts.
The Eid holiday will run from March 19 to 22, offering residents and visitors time to explore attractions, hotels and entertainment venues across the country.
Abu Dhabi events
In Abu Dhabi, several cultural and family-focused events are planned. The Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba continues to host cultural programmes with international participation.
In Al Ain, the “Ghaitah Al Ain” festival will run from March 20 to 27 at ADNEC Al Ain, featuring live shows and activities for different age groups.
Popular attractions in the emirate include the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Saadiyat Cultural District and Yas Island.
Dubai celebrations
Dubai is set to host entertainment events and retail campaigns across malls and leisure venues. The “Season of Wulfa” will continue until March 23, while Expo City Dubai will organise Eid activities from March 20 to 22.
Hotels in the city have also introduced special holiday packages.
Sharjah festival
In Sharjah, the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2026 will run through Eid, combining shopping offers with cultural programmes.
Visitors can also explore destinations such as Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Montazah Parks.
Other emirates
Across the northern emirates, several leisure and heritage sites are open to visitors.
In Ajman, the Ajman Museum remains a key attraction.
Umm Al Quwain offers leisure options including Dreamland Aqua Park.
In Ras Al Khaimah, visitors can experience Jebel Jais Flight and other outdoor attractions.
Fujairah continues to attract visitors with sites such as Fujairah Corniche and Wadi Wurayah, along with beach resorts in Al Aqah.
Authorities across the UAE have completed preparations to manage the expected increase in visitors during the Eid break.
