The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced updated service hours for its operations during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The revised schedules apply to a range of services, including parking, public transport, metro, and customer service centres.

Parking timings

Paid parking zones will continue to operate from Monday to Saturday, with two key periods: from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 12:00 midnight. Multi-storey parking facilities will remain open 24/7. Tariff fees will be applied as usual during these times.

Public transport services

The RTA has adjusted the timings for Dubai Metro and the Dubai Tram.

  • Dubai Metro will operate from 5:00 AM to midnight Monday through Thursday, extending to 1:00 AM on Fridays, and from 5:00 AM to midnight on Saturdays. On Sundays, the metro will run from 8:00 AM to midnight.

  • Dubai Tram will operate from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM Monday to Saturday, and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Sundays.

For public buses, customers can check the latest schedules through the S’hail app for real-time updates.

Metro and tram updates

Dubai Metro and Tram services will see slight changes in their operating hours, with the Metro running earlier and later throughout the week to accommodate the Ramadan schedule. Passengers are encouraged to check timings before traveling to ensure smooth commutes.

Marine transport services

Customers using marine transport services are advised to visit the RTA website for the latest updates on schedules and timings during Ramadan.

Customer service centres

RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres across the city will have adjusted working hours during the Holy Month:

  • Centres in Deira, Al Tawar, Al Manara, and Al Kifaf will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.

  • The Umm Ramool Centre will remain open 24/7.

  • Centres such as Tasjeel Al Qusais, Tasjeel Al Barsha, and others will follow a dual operating schedule, offering services in the morning and evening.

For vehicle technical inspections, specific service provider centres will offer adjusted working hours, with some locations open in the evenings for convenience. The RTA also advises the public to stay informed via its official channels for any further updates throughout Ramadan.
