Kerno opens enterprise IT manufacturing facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis

Kerno Enterprises opened its upcoming manufacturing facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis to partners, customers and media this week, offering a first look at what it describes as a full-cycle enterprise IT production operation based in the UAE.

The invite-only tour presented the company’s plans to manufacture enterprise-grade systems locally, as part of wider efforts to strengthen domestic technology production.

Facility tour

Guests were guided through the end-to-end manufacturing process by Kerno’s research and engineering teams. The tour began at the Surface Mount Technology and Through-Hole Technology sections, before moving to the server and UPS rooms.

Visitors also viewed testing areas, custom solution manufacturing, assembly units, final assembly and quality assurance stages. The tour concluded at the outbound dock.

The company said the facility is designed to reduce lead times, support local intellectual property development and enable secure infrastructure manufacturing within the UAE.

Production capacity

Kerno’s Dubai Silicon Oasis facility is expected to produce more than 60,000 enterprise systems annually from its first year of operations, with room for future expansion.

The site includes SMT lines, automated unit assembly lines and ISO 7 cleanroom manufacturing for microelectronics. It also features process monitoring systems, precision placement of up to 15 micrometers per SMT component, and 3D optical inspection and X-ray systems for printed circuit boards. The stated throughput capacity is up to 180,000 microelectronic components per hour.

Operations are supported by UAE-based research and development teams, local intellectual property ownership, engineering teams, a diversified global supply chain and a local customer support structure.

Executive comments

“This facility proves that enterprise-grade technology manufacturing can be designed, built, and scaled in the UAE — to global standards and for mission-critical use,” said Chris Caswell, CEO and Co-Founder of Kerno.

“This tour reflects the local capabilities we have built, from R&D and engineering to full-cycle technology manufacturing in the UAE.”

“Kerno’s mission extends beyond localization,” said Evgeny (Gene) Ostrovskiy, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Kerno.

“By contributing to the UAE’s technological sovereignty, we are also establishing durable commercial and technology partnerships with global leaders — laying the foundation for a sustainable, multi-billion-dollar advanced manufacturing industry in the country.”

Technology portfolio

Kerno’s product range includes AI servers for training and inference, built using high-performance GPUs from global semiconductor manufacturers. The portfolio features systems accelerated by NVIDIA and AMD, x86 servers, data storage and analytics solutions, and enterprise platforms for data centres and other critical environments.

The company said the launch of its manufacturing operations reflects growing investment in local digital infrastructure and advanced technology production across the UAE.
