87 hospitality leaders attend HFTP USALI briefing in Dubai

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) successfully hosted event through the HFTP Dubai Chapter at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah.

The gathering brought together 87 hospitality leaders from across Dubai’s leading hotel brands, reinforcing HFTP’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and professional development within the Hospitality Finance and Technology Community.

The event began with networking breakfast, followed by comprehensive overview of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) 12th Edition, led by Dr. Arlene Ramirez, Senior Vice President of Learning at HFTP and former HFTP Global President.

In his welcome remarks, Frank Wolfe, HFTP CEO, addressed the participants alongside Dubai Chapter leadership ,Hesham Elenna – Chapter President, Rohit Garg – Chapter Vice President, Rizwan Mohammad, Madina Osman, and Mahmoud Kamal – Chapter Board Members.

The session highlighted critical updates in the 12th Edition of USALI, which becomes effective 1 January 2026, including:

  • New sustainability and brand cost categories
  • Updated departmental schedules and line items
  • Lease accounting changes
  • Real-world implications for reporting, budgeting, and compliance

The event was free of charge for participants, ensuring widespread awareness of the upcoming standards and their impact on the hospitality sector.
