A new early childhood education facility is set to open in Nad Al Sheba 1, following the groundbreaking ceremony of Crayons Nursery, developed by Nalapad Investments and MVK Holdings.

The nursery is expected to open by May 2026, with FS1 and FS2 classes starting from September of the same year.

Early Years Foundation Stage

Crayons Nursery will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and integrate elements from Montessori and Finnish models. The purpose-built facility will accommodate up to 200 children between the ages of 45 days and five years.

The curriculum will be delivered in both English and Arabic, with a focus on emotional development, creativity, and child-led learning. Facilities will include structured learning areas, play zones, and nature-based activities.

Support for education goals

The event was attended by several stakeholders, including government representatives, investors, educators, and families. Chief Guest Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, was present to mark the occasion.

“Every child deserves a beginning where their curiosity is honoured and their individuality is nurtured,” said Abdulla Nalapad Ahmed, Managing Director of Nalapad Investments and Chairman of Credence High School. “Crayons Nursery is our commitment to families in Dubai.”

He added, “We are committed to contribute meaningfully to Dubai’s long-term plan for a diversified and knowledge-driven economy, in line with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s (KHDA) Education 33 transformative vision.”

Sameer K. Mohamed, Managing Director of MVK Holdings and Governor of Credence High School, said, “Families today seek more than just a preschool. They want a place where their children feel safe, inspired, and celebrated.”

He added, “Crayons Nursery creates a safe and enriching space where children fall in love with learning at their own pace.”

The Nad Al Sheba site is the first in what the founders hope will be a wider network of nurseries across the UAE.
