Under the aegis of Ferriswheel International, a spectacular promotional event for the movie Sikandar took place in Dubai, featuring star appearances by Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, and director A.R. Murugadoss.
The UAE’s skyline was set ablaze with a breathtaking drone and projection show, marking the occasion ahead of the film’s global release.
A day of glitz and glamour
The day kicked off with the leading cast of Sikandar visiting the iconic “The View” observatory deck at the St Regis Hotel, offering panoramic views of Dubai.
Later, fans, media, and tourists gathered eagerly at Roxy Cinemas in JBR for a chance to meet the stars in person. The excitement reached its peak when the celebrations moved to the spectacular Dubai skyline, featuring a captivating projection on AIN Dubai, the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel.
The visual spectacle illuminated the structure, creating an unforgettable cinematic moment for onlookers.
Salman Khan: A fan favourite
Salman Khan, known for his Eid blockbusters, was warmly welcomed by his UAE fans. Speaking about the occasion, he said, “The love from fans in Dubai has always been overwhelming. Sikandar is very close to my heart, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it on the big screen this Eid.”
His presence added to the event’s charm, as fans from various nationalities gathered to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood superstar.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who has worked with Salman Khan on many successful projects, shared his enthusiasm for Sikandar. Though unable to attend the event in person, he sent his best wishes and said, “Dubai has always embraced Indian cinema with open arms, and there couldn’t have been a better place than Dubai to celebrate Sikandar and ring in the Eid festivities ahead of its global release.”
Director A.R. Murugadoss also expressed his excitement, saying, “It was a unique experience indeed working with Salman Khan sir, and we wanted Sikandar to be grand in every sense, from the storytelling to the way we connect with audiences worldwide. Dubai felt like the perfect prelude to the global launch.”
Rashmika Mandanna shares her joy
Rashmika Mandanna, who stars alongside Salman Khan in the film, shared her enthusiasm, saying, “The energy around Sikandar is just incredible, and I’m so grateful to be part of this epic journey alongside Salman sir and Murugadoss sir. Can’t wait for everyone to watch the film this Eid. It’s full of heart, action, and everything we love about cinema!”
Shubhra Bharadwaj, Founder and Creative Director of Ferriswheel International, spoke about the company’s role in bringing the event to life. “After 30 years of events across 60 countries, this is Ferriswheel’s mega project in the UAE. Global rollout for Sikandar
The Dubai celebration was just one part of a global promotional campaign for Sikandar, which is set to release in over 115 countries, across 2,000+ locations and 3,500+ screens. The film is set to enjoy the widest overseas release ever for a Salman Khan movie.
The movie releases worldwide on March 30, 2025, with select previews beginning on March 29, marking a massive event for cinema lovers around the world.
With its star-studded cast and global rollout, Sikandar promises to be the biggest Eidi for cinema lovers this year, offering an epic cinematic experience that fans across the globe have been eagerly awaiting.
